Handcut Textured Leather Feather |Charm Earrings with Historical Window Screen, Pendant for Unique Style

Sometimes history finds its way into your hands.
This feather pendant was handcrafted from a window screen salvaged from the historic Scales–Fortson House in Corsicana, Texas—built in the 1890s and standing as one of the town’s original Victorian homes. The Fortson family were early Navarro County settlers back in the 1840s, and this home has seen more Texas history than most museums.
What used to be part of a broken old screen is now a piece of wearable history. I cut, formed, and torched the metal by hand, welding it into a layered feather and finishing it with genuine turquoise. It’s raw, rugged, and carries the soul of where it came from.
This isn’t just jewelry—it’s a story: 🪟 Made from original Fortson House window screen
