This piece was built in layers because that’s how we survived.
The back is beaten, scarred, and dull. That’s the barn.
The front fights its way forward with color, edge, and guard still up.
And at the center, what made it through is small, warm, and still beating.
This is for those of us who were hurt by people, by addiction, by abandonment, by our own damn minds.
We didn’t come out untouched. We came out still here.
Hand-forged mixed metals, raw texture, and deliberate imperfection.
Nothing fragile. Nothing decorative for decoration’s sake.
This is armor you can wear.
Because healing isn’t pretty.
And survival sure as hell isn’t quiet.
